Welcome to the first Newsletter of the year for 2008. There have been lots of changes at Audio Atlanta in the last 6 months, so let's get rolling.

The biggest news is new product line additions. The first to arrive was Rogue Audio. Rogue has grown quite a reputation and product line over the last 15 years, and the more we looked, the more we liked. A broad line of Vacuum Tube Preamps, Power Amps and Integrated Amps, all equisitely crafted inside and out, sounding exceedingly neutral and lucid and priced to position it as possibly the best value in High End Electronics. Very conservatively built with massive transformers, heavy guage chassis and faceplates, first rate connectors all to yield a consistently reliable tube experience, with the convenience of remote control and phono stages. Definitely worthy of an extended audition.....

We have skirted around the edges of the Creek product line for over a decade, but upon seeing their new line-up we had to jump in head first. From the beautifully executed entry Evolution CD and Integrated Amp, through the Classic Series Pair on to the new Ultra-Tweaked Destiny, Creeks reputation for great sound, solid build and clean styling are evident across the board.

And then there's Tannoy.....

We've been a Tannoy dealer for 17 years, constantly marveling at how their Dual Concentric based loudspeakers get the complex stuff right and just making effortless, lifelike music sound easy. There is a truly magical "rightness" about the music put forth by Tannoys large and small that eludes even the most exotic distributed driver systems. All this leads to.....

Tannoy Prestige- the Big Guns of the Tannoy line. Continuously refined over 5 decades of research, redesign and fine tuning. Rare birds, the Prestige products....Hand made in Scotland and lightly sprinkled around the world via a small handfull of select distributors and retail shops. Alas, we have joined the Circle of Camelot. Our timing coincided with the release of new "SE" versions of the existing Prestige models, as well as two all-new releases-The Glenair 10 and 15. All Tannoy Prestige models share positively drool inducing cabinetwork-typically more traditional in style. The Glenair updates the look with a very clean, trapezoidal shape crafted in iridescent Cherry. And then there's the sound.....Oh my.....

All I can say is, grab a handfull of your most cherished Vinyl and CD's and come spend some time listening to your discs as you've never heard them...we'll even supply the wee bit'o'single malt scotch to make the experience truly authentic.

Heaven....Pure Heaven....

For the faithful, we have signed off on NAD, Vandersteen and Martin Logan. All products that we opened the business with 18 short years ago, still have a tremendous respect for (product AND people), it was just time for a new direction and to follow our emotional hearts to pursue a select group of products that amaze us every time we drop the stylus (did I say "drop"?....I meant cue down gently.....).

So, 2008 starts more than a new year for us at Audio Atlanta.....it is a re-awakening of our deep passion for music and the art and science of reproducing it faithfully.
